  • Can you collect scrap?
    Yes.
  • Can you collect my scrap for free?
Yes, we are happy to clear all scrap metal at no cost to you! We can come to you and clear all your unwanted appliances or metal items for free. Domestic or commercial customers all welcome - all metals will be cleared for free. Getting rid of your old scrap metal shouldn't have to be a chore, it shouldn't have to cost you either.
  • What can you take?
Providing it is made of metal, we can take most items. This includes (but is not limited to): appliances (e.g. washing machines, cookers, dishwashers, microwaves etc), boilers, car batteries, bikes, radiators, copper cylinders, cars, TVs, vacuum cleaners, gates, bed frames, lawnmowers, cast iron baths, railing fences, gym equipment, alloy wheels and much more.
  • Can I bring my scrap to you?
Yes. Our address is Unit 5 (B), Wellington Business Park, Chelston, Wellington, Somerset, TA21 9HP.
  • How much is 1kg of copper worth in the UK?
    Between £3.65 and £4.03.
  • What are some UK scrap metal prices today?
Copper prices (per ton/tonne): Dry bright wire (no rope) loose - £6410 Bright rope wire (thin gauge) - £6070
  • What brings the most money when it comes to scrap?
Aluminium (one of the most profitable items to scrap this year) Copper (one of the most valuable things to scrap and you can usually find some around the home. For most scrappers, copper is the king of scrap metal because it gains as much as £2-4 per pound) Brass Lead Stainless steel Platinum jewellery Used appliances
  • Do you take fridges or freezers?
We often get asked if we can dispose of fridges/freezers and the answer is yes! However, fridges and freezers cannot be scrapped at scrap yards due to the gasses, expanded foam insulation and plastics that are inside them. Usually the cost of disposing of any fridge or freezer exceeds that of their scrap metal value.
  • Do you take rusted metal?
We pay you by weight and metal with severe rust damage will weigh less. Any product that's accepted for metal recycling must have a high metal content. So if your product is half-metal and half-plastic and the metal corrodes away, it likely won't be accepted as scrap metal.
  • Are pots and pans worth scrapping?
You may find your local curb side programme doesn't collect unusual materials like pots and pans, but don't fret. Most scrap yards that accept metal will be happy to take your old non-stick pans, which they will recycle along with other scrap metal.
  • Do you take caravans?
    Yes we do.
